In addition to their generous sponsorship of Pride in the CLE 2018, United Way of Greater Cleveland and the LGBT Community Center have a long history of partnership. Most recently, the United Way of Greater Cleveland, Equality Ohio and the LGBT Community Center worked together to provide support services for those affected by the PULSE nightclub shooting in Orlando.
"United Way of Greater Cleveland strives to create a culture of diversity and inclusion in our community. We value organizations like the LGBT Community Center Greater Cleveland for their dedication towards this mission."
United Way of Greater Cleveland is also a proud participant of Ohio Business Competes, a non-partisan coalition of businesses committed to achieving nondiscrimination policies at the state level in order to attract the best talent, business-to-business and business-to-customer relationships, and to grow Ohio's economy. They ensure that all of their funded agencies provide services to all in Greater Cleveland through nondiscriminatory policies, and they are an active participant in the Plexus Chamber of Commerce for the LGBT Community and Allies.
United Way of Greater Cleveland was also an early supporter of the AIDS Funding Collaborative (AFC). AFC is a group of funders, including United Way of Greater Cleveland, that invest in programs and initiatives designed to prevent the spread and impact of HIV/AIDS in northeast Ohio.
"We would love to see Pride in the CLE grow! We hope that more Greater Clevelanders will participate, spread the word and encourage other community organizations to support the mission!"
Thank you for your support, United Way of Greater Cleveland! We look forward to continuing our partnership for years to come!
