About The Program

Queer Living: Life Skills Workshops is a training program open to young people, ages 14-20, who are interested in learning life skills that may be harder to obtain elsewhere. The program will take place every Monday, starting March 6th, and will run from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Zoom. Zoom links will be sent with session registration confirmation and a reminder will be sent out beforehand as well. Guest speakers who are experts in each skill area will teach young people the skills needed to increase protective factors and be self-sufficient in adulthood. Participants will earn a $25 gift card for each session they attend. Participants will not receive a gift card for orientation. Food and bus passes will also be provided.

Only the first 15 people to sign up for each session will be admitted into the scheduled sessions. Young people are encouraged to register for only the workshops they are interested in attending. If you are not interested, please do not register as it will prevent other young people who are interested from attending.

Anyone outside of the program parameters are not eligible for the life skills program. You are welcome to come to The Center at any time to participate in other programming.
