Guidelines

As a Pride March participant, certain guidelines must be followed to help the march run efficiently, and to ensure the safety and security of other participants and onlookers.

Motorized Vehicles

• Please be aware that motorized vehicles of any kind are NOT permitted.
• This includes, but is not limited to automobiles, motorcycles, parade floats of any kind, mopeds, ATVs, etc.
• Motorized wheelchairs are, of course, welcome!

Etiquette

• Pride in the CLE® participants must understand and agree that this Pride March is intended to be, and at all times shall be, a Family-Friendly event.
• Therefore, participants shall not display any materials, or behave in any way, that are obscene, sexually explicit, pornographic, or indecent as described in City, County, State, and Federal law.

March Staging and Line Up

• Specific line up locations, time of arrival, and exact march route will be communicated via email and/or Eventeny to all registrants a few weeks prior to the event.
• All entries will be lined up, at the discretion of the Pride March Director and Logistics Team, based on the type of marching unit, logistics, and presentation significance.

Entry

• The March will last approximately 1 hour and will conclude upon arrival to the festival site at Malls B & C.

March Route Assistance

• The march must keep moving. Volunteers and Cleveland Police will be on site to quickly move any unit along, or out of, the route. Please note any mobility or accessibility concerns when registering.

Group Registration

• All sponsors, community groups, organizations, businesses, employee resource groups, or corporations that intend to march must still register regardless of status as Pride Sponsor or Vendor/Exhibitor.
• When registering, please estimate how many participants will join you.
• Should you expect an increased or decreased amount of participants after you register, please do not re-register. Please simply contact us via Eventeny or by emailing [email protected] with changes.

Pride March Representative

• Each community group registered is required to designate a “Pride March Representative” who will serve as the primary contact with Pride in the CLE® and be able to assist the Festival Director with set up and control of the marching unit prior to, during, and after the Pride March.
• The Pride March Representative will report to the Festival Director or Volunteer for entry verification and line up assignment no later than 1 hour prior to the step-off time.

Individual Registration

• Individuals without an affiliated organization who wish to participate in the march must still register.
• If you are a part of an organization that has registered to march, you do not need to register.
• All registrants must be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by a legal guardian who is at least 18.

Release

• Your electronic images, logos, bios, or other content you submit through this form may be used in print and/or online marketing, subject to our privacy policy.
