March or Parade?
Pride started as a riot. It began as a rebellion led by members of the LGBTQ+ community who refused to be silenced. Today, our joy is still political, and our visibility is still our strongest resistance. In a climate that frequently seeks to roll back our rights and quiet our community, we don’t just walk — we march.
Join the Voice of the March
Are you ready to use your voice as a tool for change?
Pride in the CLE has always hosted a march (not a parade), but in 2026 we hope to transform the march into an even more powerful, unified protest. One of the ways we will achieve this is through organized chanting. Our 2026 March Applications will ask whether you would like to join the chanting, and whether you would like to become a Lead Chanter.

Join the Chants
We are looking for folx who are comfortable speaking loudly, sustaining high energy, and motivating the crowd to join in. Whether you are a seasoned activist or a first-time marcher, we need you with us!
We will loop you in on this organized chanting effort. We will send you the chant sheets and other relevant info ahead of time so you can help lead chants within your section of the march.
Lead Chanters Needed
We need your voice to stand at the very head of the pack — to be the pulse that the rest of the march follows. Whether you are a seasoned activist or a first-time marcher, we need you with us!
You will join our official team of Lead Chanters at the very front of the march. You will attend an orientation in May, receive a dedicated shirt, and have the option to carry a megaphone.

Motorized vehicles of any kind are NOT PERMITTED
This includes, but is not limited to: automobiles, motorcycles, floats, mopeds, ATVs, mowers, etc. (Motorized wheelchairs are, of course, welcome!)
