CENTER PROMOTION REQUESTS

The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland is committed to elevating all that our thriving LGBTQ+ community has to offer. By filling out the following form and adhering to the requirements put forth by our team, The Center will be able to better promote your events across our platforms and mediums in a concerted, effective way!

WITH ALL CONTENT, ANY MATERIAL SUBMITTED IS SUBJECT TO THE CENTER'S DISCRETION. 

The Center is pleased to offer a variety of ways to promote your event through the following mediums:

THE CENTER COMMUNITY BOARD

The Center's Community Board can be found on the first floor's east corridor and features flyers for events, job postings, community groups, research opportunities and more. 

We please ask that the following requirements are adhered to when requesting items to be promoted on The Center's Community Board:

  • Any file submitted should be a printable .pdf, .png, .jpg, or Microsoft word (.docx) file type 
  • FILES SUBMITTED FOR BOTH THE COMMUNITY BOARD AND WEB/SOCIAL MEDIA MUST MEET DIGITAL CONTENT REQUIREMENTS. 
      • The Center often receives flyers for events in the community. Flyers are still welcome and strongly encouraged for our Community Board.
      • Flyers that we often receive tend to include QR codes, can be multiple pages and have a lot of text detail, which are not always an effective digital or web-based graphic. Please view our digital recommendations for web content to ensure we can best communicate your request. 
THE CENTER HOME PAGE

The Center's Home Page features the section "WHAT'S UP IN LGBTQ+ CLEVELAND." This scroll will showcase events happening outside The Center's "in-house" events and programming. In order to promote your request effectively, it is strongly recommended that all promotional requests be submitted at least three weeks in advance. 

We please ask that the following requirements are adhered to when requesting events to be promoted on The Center's home page:

  • A 1080 pixel X 1080 pixel .png graphic
  • A link to your event landing page
  • All web graphics should refrain use of QR codes and/or heavy text
THE CENTER MONTHLY 'UP & OUT' NEWSLETTER

The Center's monthly newsletter, 'UP & OUT,' is a sent out via email every first Tuesday of the month. If the first day of the month falls on the first Tuesday, we will send out the newsletter the following or second Tuesday of the month. 

THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT REQUESTS FOR THE FOLLOWING MONTH'S NEWSLETTER IS THE LAST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH. We please ask the following requirements are adhered to when requesting events or news stories be promoted in The Center's newsletter: 

  • A 1080 pixel X 1080 pixel -OR- 1080 pixel x 540 pixel .png graphic
  • A link to your event or news story landing page
  • Event times if applicable
  • All web graphics should refrain use of QR codes and/or heavy text
THE CENTER SOCIAL CHANNELS

The Center employs three main social media platforms to communicate with our community regularly. While we reserve discretion on what is posted or shared out on these channels, we will often help elevate requests if they are made with ample time for our team to respond.

WE PLEASE ASK THAT ALL SOCIAL MEDIA PROMOTION REQUESTS BE MADE AT LEAST THREE WEEKS BEFORE TARGET RUN DATE. 

  • The Center will still accept requests within three weeks, but will prioritize accordingly with Center-related posts

INSTAGRAM - The Center uses this platform to illustrate all Center related programming through graphics, photography, and general operating updates. All submitted promotional requests for Instagram will be shared exclusively through Instagram Story. We please ask that the following requirements are adhered to with promotional requests for The Center's Instagram story. 

  • A 1080 pixel X 1080 pixel -OR- 1080 pixel x 1920 pixel .png graphic
  • A link to your event landing page
  • All web graphics should refrain use of QR codes or heavy text
  • The Center continues to receive a high volume of requests for posting. We will work hard to post your promotional request once a week up until event date, but again will prioritize Center-related content and cannot guarantee all requests will receive more than one posting.

FACEBOOK - Much like Instagram, The Center will post Center related content on this platform. We will also post promotional content on the main feed. This can be done by a simple reshare of an existing post or through content submitted through the following form. We please ask that the following requirements are adhered to with promotional requests for The Center's Facebook channel.

  • A 1080 pixel X 1080 pixel -OR- 940 pixel x 788 pixel .png graphic
  • A link to your event landing page -OR- to an existing Facebook post
  • A brief description of the requested promotional content
  • All web graphics should refrain use of QR codes or heavy text

LINKEDIN - The Center's LinkedIn page is used the same as Facebook, communicating our programs, events and operational updates on this professional networking platform. We will also post promotional content on the this platform. We please ask that the following requirements are adhered to with promotional requests to The Center's LinkedIn channel. 

  • A 1080 pixel X 1080 pixel -OR- 940 pixel x 788 pixel .png graphic
  • A link to your event landing page -OR- to an existing Facebook/LinkedIn post
  • A brief description of the requested promotional content
  • All web graphics should refrain use of QR codes or heavy text
