The mission of the "Lorain County LGBTQ+ and Allies Community Task Force" is to address the needs of Lorain County’s LGBTQ+ community through education, advocacy, and allied community resources. As a progressive grassroots movement, the Task Force builds power, takes action and creates change to achieve freedom and justice for LGBTQ+ people and their families and works toward a society that values and respects the diversity of human expression and identity. Health & WellnessThe AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland provides a compassionate and collaborative response to the needs of people infected, affected and at risk of HIV/AIDS. This is accomplished through leadership in prevention, education, supportive services and advocacy. Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Care officially opened at the Chagrin Falls Family Health Center and Lakewood Family Health Center. Embedded in a primary care practice, the center provides care for all patients in a safe and welcoming environment. It includes providers who understand the health needs of LGBT patients, and access to specialists with expertise in LGBT care. Learn more.The G.I.V.E. Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic that provides a medical “home” for veterans who are exploring their gender identity. Patients can receive comprehensive primary care, mental health and social work services, and hormonal therapy in a safe and welcoming environment. We also offer a support group specific for transgender veterans, shared medical appointments, specialty consultation for voice therapy, and pre- and post-operative consultation and care. The Pride Clinic is the first LGBT clinic in Cleveland dedicated to serving the LGBT community. Specially trained physicians and staff provide care that respects unique health needs—including transgender services, as well as routine care. Contact.
