The following community leaders were honored for their contributions to the City and community at the 3rd Annual Cleveland LGBT Heritage Day Celebrations:
Arts and Culture:Brian Thornton; Neighborhood Leadership: Scott Rosenstein; Safety: Brian Tupaz; Advocacy: Sherry Bowman; Education:Maya Simek; Faith Based:Reverend Allen V. Harris; Social Services:Mary Beth Schwarz; Healthcare:Dr. R. Matthew Walsh; and Public Service:Nickie Antonio.
Special thanks go to Mayor Frank G. Jackson, and Council President Martin Sweeney for their support and advocacy on behalf of the LGBT community.
Additional special thanks go to Councilman Joe Cimperman, Matt Zone, Mike Polensek and Jay Westbrook for their leadership in championing LGBT equality and inclusiveness.
