The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland is a non-profit organization that is operated by a small paid staff. As you can imagine, being one of the primary providers of services to the LGBT community means there is always more work than people. We supplement the work that needs to be done with the help of dedicated volunteers and interns. If you're interested, here are some ways that you can get involved.
As a non-profit organization, the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland is thankful for any way that our community members are able to get involved. However, it is with the help of our generous donors and sponsors that we are able to keep our doors open and welcoming new guests every day. Follow this link to make your contribution.
Thanks to funding from Gilead, the Center is excited to be able to re-launch the POL Program. The main goal and expectation of the position of a popular opinion leader (POL) is to increase awareness and knowledge of Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) to the general population. Interested applications should submit their resume to Belle Ursa at BUrsa@lgbtcleveland.org.
The Center is always happy to partner with local and national organizations to create and cultivate new relationships and programs. By partnering with the LGBT Community Center, you are entering a mutually beneficial relationship that increases the number of consumers you are able to access, as well as guaranteeing exposure to a population that is underrepresented and underutilized.
The internship program of the LGBT Community Center offers multiple opportunities for undergraduate and graduate level students. Working with our youth, young adult, or senior programs provides direct practice experience with a diverse population; administrative and macro-level positions allow for students to learn about the inner-workings of a non-profit organization.
